Use of an enema is a technique which is used to stimulate stool evacuation. It is a liquid treatment which is used to relieve constipation. This process helps push accumulated wastes out of the rectum when you cannot do so on your own.
These days people are suffering from indigestion, gas, acidity, phlegm, constipation and other stomach problems. In fact constipation is the mother of all diseases. One must learn this science and understand the Natural Hygiene comprehensively as this is the only way to get permanent cure. Those having chronic diseases must use enema as it will take care of the constipation, which is the root cause of all diseases. This process tones up the muscles of large intestine in particular and eliminatory system in general. This is absolutely non-violent and non-habit forming.
First thing one must try to get fresh in the morning on getting up whether one feels the urge or not. Sit on the toilet seat for some time without putting undue pressure on the anus. If you do not feel fresh or are not fully satisfied , then alone you should take enema.
Fix a peg at a height of about 4’- 4.6” in the bathroom door or some other suitable place where you want to take enema. Now fill about 150 ml normal tap water in the enema glass. No chemical or soap is to be added. Hang the water filled enema glass on the hook and open the tap of the enema to see if the water starts flowing freely from the catheter (small tube attached to the enema glass) end to ensure the tube to be free of air bubbles. Now close the tap immediately once the water starts flowing. You are now all set to take the enema.
Then lie down or sit on the knees along the wall in a manner comfortable to you. You may use any of position shown in pictures given below. Apply a little oil at the end of the catheter so that it can be inserted smoothly in the anus. Insert 1.5”-2” of catheter end in the anus and open the tap of the enema glass. If the water starts flowing into the large intestine through the anus, fine. Otherwise insert a little more and open the tap to see if the water flows smoothly into the large intestine. Once water starts flowing, in about half a minute the glass will be emptied. Now close the tap and pull out the catheter out of the anus.
Come out of the bathroom or any other place where you are taking enema and lie down flat on the back and start massaging lightly your stomach with a small piece of wet cloth (say handkerchief) clock wise for about 2-3 minutes. Now you can resume normal work or stroll around. Once you feel the urge to vacate the colon of feces, go to the toilet seat once again and empty out the feces.
